Fiji bound

Fourth of July was just another workday here in Sydney, but I attempted to share my nationalism with fellow train travelers by belting out 'God Bless America'. Until Aradhna told me to shut up.

Speaking of shutting up ... this blog will be quiet for the next week. Aradhna and I leave for Fiji today. Her grandfather is being feted with a surprise 80th b-day party on Saturday, and we're the surprise Aussie guests. We'll stay at a bure at Crusoe's Retreat until Monday, when we'll drive to the other side of Vitu Levu to Nausori (where Aradhna was born and raised to age 10) and stay with family in their village.

Will share bahot photos when we return (practicing my Hindi, the language of Aradhna's family).
