Where the 'burbs meet the bush.

Don't know if it's because I grew up in an area that was robbed of its semi-rural charm by strip-malls & corporate campuses, but I'm fascinated by man's mauling of landscapes ... especially housing developments that overtake hillsides and paddocks with the conscience of kudzu. These photos were taken during a walk to Parklea Market today. Suburban creep: It's worldwide!
A landscaped road to nowhere, with the Blue Mountains in the distance.

Lots go for about $300K; houses typically cost $500-750K.

Saw some bunnies ... they're also worldwide.
