Aussie Rules
Due to the kindness of Alf Conlon, I attended my very first Aussie rules football game Saturday night at Telstra Stadium. Sydney Swans v St Kilda Saints. Check out the pix to see who won.
The stadium is among the many facilities built for the 2000 Olympics.
Unabashed Swans supporter Alf Conlon.
Big crowd of just under 64,000 came out for the match.
Look closely for a yellow ball splitting two of the posts.
Like the great game of ice hockey, Aussie rules must be seen in person to be appreciated (and understood).
Final score: Swans 82, Saints 65. Cheer Cheer the Red and the White!
