An old saying says 'All publicity is good publicity'. Especially in the case of strip clubs (other than, perhaps, 'Strip Club Establishes Strict Ugly Dancers Only Policy'). Kevin Rudd, leader of the opposition to John 'Cheney Lite' Howard's government, has given TV and web graphics teams a rare chance to superimpose his round, bland face upon ribald backgrounds after it was 'revealed' he'd made a drunken visit to Scores nightclub in Manhattan four years ago. That would be 2003. Four. Years. Ago.
That's one of the beautiful aspects of life in Australia. Nothing happens here. Yet news cycles must be fed, and a married politician's visit to a Silicone Circus four years ago provides plenty of empty calories.
Rudd's late-night largesse hasn't been confined to these shores. As he was apparently goaded into visiting Howard Stern's favourite Implant Showroom by an editor of the Murdoch-owned NY Post, its nemesis the NY Daily News has salacious details about how 'clean-cut' Rudd was lured by the Post's 'portly' scribe into lap dance temptation.
