Love & Justice

It's a sign of modest progress that the heroic men and women who blazed trails of equality -- be it racial, sexual or gender -- are recognized worldwide upon their passing. Fifty years ago, Mildred Loving and her husband Richard were awakened by sheriff's deputies in their bedroom. Their crime? Being a 'mixed race' couple in Virginia. Their struggle to be allowed to live in their home state as man and wife led to anti-miscegenation laws being overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1967. Mildred's husband died in a car accident in 1975. Mildred recently died of pneumonia. She was 68.

And this is the shame of Flavor Of Love, starring Flavor Flav and Bridget Nielsen going off the air! If not for these pioneers, such quality entertainment would have never been aired!
