While Hurricane Gustav chugs north and New Orleans residents begin returning to their (thankfully) intact city, will the Western media now turn its attention to the continuing tragedy of 3 million Indians devastated by the worst floods to hit the northern state of Bihar in 50 years? Not when McCain's tragically cynical VP selection has a pregnant teenage daughter. This off-script development will not only divert attention from the hundreds of thousands threatened by starvation in Bihar, but will protect McCain from scrutiny of his inane policy proposals and personal immorality during the Republican Caucasian-fest in Minneapolis.
