Undulating 2-lane roads that our Holden Astra gripped like a slot car zipped us past wheat fields stretching to the horizon, ancient mountain ranges, scrub- and pine-covered flatlands along South Australia's Limestone Coast, my first look at a pure blue Southern Ocean, Mt Gambier's shimmering Blue Lake ... and this disquieting Giant Koala, photographed a few kilometres east of Grampians National Park in western Victoria.
