Australia can't claim many internationally known actors, but those it can -- like Cate Blanchett, Nicole Kidman & Hugh Jackman -- are favorite sons and daughters in this nation of only 20 million. It's fair to say Australians of every stripe are shocked and saddened by the death of 28-year-old Heath Ledger, apparently by overdose of prescription pills in NYC.
