Sunday stroll
Aradhna and I took advantage of a pleasant swing in Melbourne's weather schizophrenia to explore neighborhoods abutting ours in St Kilda East. We discovered several lovely cafes, Caulfield Park, a real Italian deli, dozens of ethnic restaurants and colorful gardens fronting charming brick homes on every block, an example of which is shown in the photo above.
This St Kilda East home has the word 'MIAMI' over its front door.
Caulfield Park stirs primal picnic urges.
Among the antique shops, bridal salons and fashion boutiques of chi-chi Malvern is this impressive clock tower (overhead wires courtesy of the #6 tram line).
Moving to Victoria has introduced a new world of mystery plant life.
St Kilda gargoyle.
